One of the most promising young riders - Menno Huising - has already signed a 3-year World Tour deal with Jumbo-Visma. Menno Huising was one of the strongest and most consistent juniors in 2022 who has successfully established in pro peloton, winning the highly anticipated Flèche Ardennaise (1.2).
"Although I haven't been here that long, I'm very aware that I'm part of the best development team in the peloton," Huising said. "Everything is in place to develop as a rider, but in a very accessible way. I am an eager learner, so I like using all the in-house expertise. At the same time, the squad has a familial feel about it. There could not be a better environment to step into the pro peloton. This feels like a childhood dream, and I am looking forward to riding in the WorldTour soon."
Huising will become the first CyclingClassNL project rider to promote to World Tour. "We are very proud of this," sports director Merijn Zeeman said. "Menno has shown great promise over the past few years. He is fully developing, which will remain the main goal in the coming years. We believe he has a bright future in our team."
"We quickly realised that he was a special rider," Head of Development Robert de Groot said. "We are still in the process of discovering what he will excel at. Menno has a lot of natural cycling skills, but he can still improve in all areas. We will continue to work with him over the next few years, first in the development team and then in the WorldTour squad."
