Mathieu van der Poel and Remco Evenepoel spotted training together in Southern Spain

The winners of the last two men's elite World Championships road race, both Mathieu van der Poel and Remco Evenepoel have been spotted training alongside each other in Southern Spain.

Courtesy of the Instagram page of Australian Freddy Ovett, both van der Poel and Evenepoel are spotted training in tandem on the road, leaving many fans mouth-watering at the prospect of two cycling superstars working alongside each other in future.

Van der Poel is currently preparing for his cyclocross return, whilst Evenepoel's off-season is all about preparing for the first Tour de France of his career next summer. Although van der Poel no longer broadcasts his Strava data, Evenepoel's figures show a training session of 123 kilometers in just over four hours with more than 2,000 meters of climbing.
