Lorenzo Milesi's reported move to INEOS Grenadiers no longer on the cards

Last month, reports began to circle that Team DSM-Firmenich's 21-year-old starlet, Lorenzo Milesi was on his way to the INEOS Grenadiers. Now, however, that no longer seems to be the case.

The under-23 time-trial World Champion, Milesi also wore the Red Jersey at the 2023 Vuelta a Espana. His impressive performances have ensured plenty of teams keen on securing his signature with the British-based powerhouse, INEOS Grenadiers having thought to have been top of that list.

"End of October we reported about the possibility that Lorenzo Milesi - world champion Under 23 tt - will move from Team DSM-Firmenich to INEOS Grenadiers in 2024," reports an update from Ciro Gazzetta's official X (Twitter) account. "But this is not going to happen according to our sources, so far no deal reached."

Where the talented Italian prodigy will now end up remains to be seen, with no further updates being offered.
