The Tour de France has organized another criterium in Asia, this time around in Singapore where it has attracted a few of the World Tour's stars to headline the event. Mark Cavendish raced for the final time as a pro rider this Sunday and took the victory in a sprint.
The exhibition event is, of course, not raced as a normal competition and often the results are agreed upon before the start of the event. With Cavendish announcing his retirement from cycling yesterday it was appropriate to have him take the win on what would be the final time he raced as a pro rider. He finished ahead of Biniam Girmay and Jasper Philipsen.
