At the end of the day, Lotte Kopecky proves that she's not a picky eater as she chooses to compete in both the time trial (22/9) and the road race (28/9) at the world cycling championships in Zurich, Switzerland. In addition, the Belgian all-rounder will also take on the gravel world championships scheduled the following weekend.
National coach Ludwig Willems announced this on Tuesday during a press moment of the Belgian cycling association. Kopecky will thus attempt to defend her rainbow jersey from Glasgow on rather unfavourable course in Zurich.
In the road race on Saturday 28 September, finished on a hilly course, Kopecky will be assisted by Tour revelation Justine Ghekiere, Margot Vanpachtenbeke, Julie Van De Velde, promising Lore De Schepper, Julie De Wilde, Valerie Demey and Lotte Claes.
In the time trial on Sunday 22 September, Julie De Wilde will also be in action in addition to Kopecky.
