Jasper Stuyven is certain to renew with
Trek - Segafredo for three seasons, which will prolong the partnership into a whole 12 years by the end of 2025 in which he will have plenty more opportunities to target the classics season.
It was reported by Het Nieuwsblad that the Belgian had reached an agreement with the American team to re-sign for another hefty three seasons. The 30-year old has struggled to reach his best level this spring due to illness, but nevertheless has been proposed with a long-term contract showcasing the team's confidence in his abilities and role within the team.
This year he's finished fourth at Gent-Wevelgem and seventh at Paris-Roubaix. With Mads Pedersen also evolving within the team Stuyven is no longer a sole leader, and in the coming years he's expected to help the team's ambitions with his valuable experience if at some point he is unable to battle for the top places. However, he likely will, as the biggest win of Stuyven's career came last year at Milano-Sanremo. He is set to race the Tour de France this summer, which will be his next goal alongside the national championships.
