Jakub Mareczko crossed the finish line in Buchten with his finger in front of his mouth. He had just won the third stage of the
ZLM Tour and managed to silence the competition.
"Today we did a great job as a team. It wasn't easy, but we did well in the final and get a nice result out of it” Mareczko said in the flash interview. The Alpecin-Fenix team leader survived the stage and was able to sprint in Buchten, taking the win he attempted yesterday, however with the relegation preventing him from climbing onto the podium.
"All stages in this race suit me well. I am therefore happy that I managed to win, Yesterday I thought I was the best. In my eyes, the jury made a mistake, but fortunately, I got my revenge today," 'Kuba said. In the general classification, the Italian is second behind Olav Kooij with two stages to go.
