Movistar rider Ivan Sosa enjoyed his fourth victory of the season in
Tour de Langkawi. The Colombian took the leader’s jersey after victory in the third stage, and he held it till the end stage.
"It was very nervous," says Sosa. He continues, "It went very fast, and it was very tough. Keeping the breakaway within range was not easy. In fact, the riders who were with us were very strong. So it was difficult to control the race. And our rivals didn't make it easy for us, but that's why this victory tastes even better."
His victory would not have been possible without the crucial support and assistance of his teammates and staff. "It has been difficult days, where, as I said, the peloton has not made it easy for us. But we were able to finish 2022 in the best way possible. I won my second round of the year, and that gives energy for what is to come after a difficult season."
As the season draws to a close, the Colombian will rest and recover before preparing for his next adventure. "Now I have to recover for a while, but thanks to the morale I got from this win, that will be easier," concluded Sosa.
