Itzulia Women: Demi Vollering extends race lead as she wins stage two

Demi Vollering won the opening stage of the Itzulia Women, and she has not struggled with the responsibilities on the second day of racing, as not only she didn't loose time, she extended her lead after taking the second win for Team SD Worx.

She resisted the attacks that came on the climb to Karabieta, and set herself up in a comfortable position to fight for the stage win at the end. She went into the final uphill sprint in Mallabia with the legs to sprint, and took a dominant win, distancing the group that rode with her into the finish to gather a few seconds out on the road aswell. Olivia Baril and Marta Cavalli finished second and third in the stage.
