Bryan Coquard was present at the official presentation of the Cofidis after an opening weekend in Spain, where he didn't manage to score a quick victory. However the 31-year-old is not worried by that in an interview with Cyclism'Actu.
"Australia was really great last year, but it was still a long trip at the start of the year, so I didn't necessarily want to go back there this year. Coming of our training camp, the choice to do these two Spanish races was coherent and interesting. Even if I didn't raise my arms, second and tenth is a good start to the season."
"It's a career and even life goal to win at the Tour de France. The years go by and I still haven't done it, but I don't lose hope. Last year, I was very regular, but to be clear, I never saw myself winning. There will be a lot of difficult finishes in the next edition, so we will try again. I hope to have the opportunity one day to win."
"I'm not thinking about the end of my career, but I know that I'm closer to the end than the beginning. I don't have an age limit in mind or plan to stop in this year or that year. As long as I perform well and I have fun on the bike, I will continue."

The best sprinters are there, it is difficult to win there. Prior to that, he should at least win in Giro and Vuelta. It is this attitude that results in zero GT stage wins. Nor does he have too many years left
