"It was the bike I used most on a daily basis" - Odd Christian Eiking's troubles continue with burglary over weekend

Just days ago, Odd Christian Eiking was expressing his concerns for the future, as his heavily pregnant wife nears childbirth and he remains without a professional contract. Sadly for the Norwegian things have now taken another blow.

"We had a burglary in our garage at the weekend. A man has gone loose with a hammer on the padlocks and entered several of the stalls, including ours," the 29-year-old details of the situation to Fanaposten. "It was the bike I used most on a daily basis. It's really crazy. It probably won't take that long to get it replaced, but it's really stupid anyway."

"A pretty nice bike, actually. Quite retro, but it must have been stolen," Eiking continues. "I have posted a picture of the bike on Facebook. If anyone sees something, just get in touch."

Eiking wore the Red Jersey at the Vuelta a Espana for a number of days back in 2021, before finishing 11th overall remains unemployed after the conclusion of his contract with EF Education-EasyPost at the end of 2023.
