Stage 7 of the Tour de Suisse delivered more GC action and the climbs came to the front again early on and creating big differences between groups. Kévin Vauquelin defended himself very however has lost 6 seconds in bonifications to João Almeida who is slowly creeping into the yellow jersey ahead of the decisive stage of the race.
The gap between the two now is only of 33 seconds after the Portuguese's victory this Saturday. Julian Alaphilippe hangs on to a surprising third position 41 seconds back and will face an interesting challenge in the mountain time-trial to try and keep the final podium. Oscar Onley and Felix Gall follow in the Top 5; Lennard Kämna, Ben O'Connor, Pablo Castrillo, Ilan van Wilder and Clément Champoussin complete the 10 best in the race thus far. The final 10-kilometer long time-trial could change things dramatically however.
