Israel-Premier Tech "determined to return to the WorldTour"

Israel-Premier Tech has been officially relegated from the WorldTour. This team has been demoted to the ProTeam division in the UCI list of teams registered for next season.

Israel-Premier Tech did not earn enough ranking points to finish in the top 18 teams in the three-year rankings used for the 2023 WorldTour. The team has accepted UCI's decision and promised to work hard to regain their WorldTour license. "Israel-Premier Tech acknowledges the UCI's decision to register the team as a ProTeam in 2023. Of course, we are disappointed, given the disruptions caused by the corona pandemic over the past three seasons, which have hit our team very hard. Nevertheless, IPT will continue to fight for victories in the biggest races on the cycling calendar,” read the statement shared by the team on Twitter.

For the next three years, the team will be racing under a ProTeam license and aiming to achieve the top 18 rankings. "We are determined to return to the WorldTour. In the meantime, we will continue to race with the motivation and resilience that gave our team two stage wins in the past Tour de France. We are proud of the riders, the staff and the strength of the organisation. We start next season with enthusiasm and confidence in our ability to keep performing and winning.”
