Juliette Labous was the best among the Frenchwomen in Sunday's World Championship road race, but she was not able to compete with the best at the end of the day, as she crossed the line more than four minutes behind medallists.
"It wasn't a perfect race," Labous tells Eurosport after the race. "I think I shouldn't have joined the breakaway, I tried a lot and I was really not feeling well on the final circuit. If it had worked, It looked like it was the right plan, but I'm disappointed. I still found myself racing for the top 10 at the end, I really didn't give up. Kopecky? She was really the strongest. She made a lot of effort, so nothing to say, she really deserved the title," she concludes.
