"I think everyone wants to win a race when they ride it and even more so if it's one of the five monuments. San Remo is one of the most difficult races to win, the most complicated and for me it's a big challenge. Last year I felt very good but I couldn't win or finish on the podium, which was unfortunate. This year I feel much better and more confident, we'll see how the race goes in Cipressa, I hope to be the one with the best legs on the Poggio."
On the strategy to follow to try to win the
Milano-Sanremo, Tadej Pogacar acknowledges that there is not much of a secret and that the key is to have good legs at the end, where everything is always decided:
"Everything has to go perfect, the plan is to go all together, everyone has more or less the same plan, everything is decided in the last hour of the race, the last 2 hours are crazy and you have to have the best legs on the last climbs."
