🇪🇸 #LaVuelta23 🩷💛❤️
Jonas Vingegaard has already made it clear this week that not he, but Sepp Kuss had to win this Vuelta. Now that his wish will come true, the Danish climber is delighted.
"We have made history. Of course that makes us happy and proud, because it was a historic season," says the two-time Tour de France winner at VTM.
"I am so happy for Sepp. Winning a Grand Tour is career-changing. He is such a good boy who fully deserves this victory. It was a very special moment to cross the finish line arm in arm, and tomorrow on the podium it will also be unique."
How does this change Kuss' status within the Jumbo-Visma team? "If he wants, he will have even more opportunities as a leader in the future. I hope he will want that. He is so good that he deserves every chance. I may lose a great helper in the mountains, but I'll gladly take that. Or could a co-leadership in the Tour be possible? Certainly!"
