There were two crashes in the final 10 kilometres but Groves afterwards, was thankful that it wasn't even worse. "That boy from Caja Rural shoots into that corner without control and deviates very far to the outside. He almost causes a big crash," the Australian says referencing the Caja Rural duo of David Gonzalez and
Orluis Aular.
"Because we get stuck there, I and a lot of others couldn't sprint anymore," he concludes. "I don't think it was too dangerous. We as riders take the biggest risks. Everyone wants to win and that's why sometimes there are falls."
