Groupama - FDJ to welcome a former Paris-Roubaix Espoirs vice-champion

Groupama - FDJ seem to be looking at possibilities to recover some of the classics strength they're likely to lose with the rumoured departure of spring revelation Laurence Pithie.

It looks as though the French WorldTour formation took interest in Johan Jacobs. After having spent five years with Movistar, this would be the first time in his professional career Jacobs would change colours. Gazzetta dello Sport brings the transfer as a nearly done deal for 2025.

Despite his attackive racing style, the cobbled classics specialist is still waiting for his breakthrough result in the top category. The former cyclocross rider has not managed to confirm his potential at Movistar, having notably finished 2nd in Paris-Roubaix Espoirs in 2019, but is undoubtedly hoping to relaunch himself at Groupama - FDJ, joining compatriot Stefan Küng in the classics formation.
