Grand Prix La Marseillaise goes to Neilson Powless via solo win

Grand Prix La Marseillaise route gave a lot of finishing possibilities and this edition went for the attackers with EF Education-EasyPost rider Neilson Powless taking the victory.

The race started with a 4 men breakaway, among them was Enzo Paleni, Groupama-FDJ young talent. At around 50 kilometers to the finish in the hardest climb of the race the peloton broke and a small group of riders was formed at the front. With the likes of Neilson Powless (EF Education-EasyPost), Brent Van Moer (Lotto-Dstny), Valentin Ferron (TotalEnergies) and Lenny Martinez (Groupama-FDJ) among others.

On the last Climb Col de La Gineste, the decisive attacks occurred with Neilson Powless managing to go solo. A group of 8 riders formed and tried their best to catch the North American rider.

But the American always managed to control the distance and celebrated calmly his solo win ahead of Valentin Ferron (Total Energies) and Brent Van Moer (Lotto-Dstny) who were the first of the chase group.
