For the fourth time, the duo of Giulio Ciccone and Bauke Mollema will be racing the Giro d'Italia together and like last year, they will be leading the team's overall classification aspirations.
One of Italy's finest in the current generation, Giulio Ciccone has ridden every Giro since his debut in 2016 where he immediately took a stage win. In the years following he won another stage, but despite many attempts he never managed to have a consistent GC run which should be his goal once again at the start. A Chieti-native, he'll see the race have several stages in his home region, where stage wins may also turn out to be a goal if the initial plan doesn't come to be.
Bauke Mollema must carry ambitions of going for stage wins in the mountains, however he is not a rider to count out of the GC fight initially. Mattias Skjelmose will be making his Grand Tour debut, however it is plausible to imagine that the mixed goal will also be in the Dane's head.
Supporting them will be the talented Juan Pedro López who finished 11th in the recent Itzulia Basque Country, aswell as veteran Dario Cataldo who will begin his 13th Giro and will be an important rider for the team's structure. Edward Theuns will come likely with ambitions of going for the sprint stages, however he is also likely to play a support role in some days towards the team leaders, whilst Jacopo Mosca and Otto Vergaerde will be supporting the team's ambitions both in the mountains and in the sprints if that comes to be.
