Fred Wright plans on improving his performance in the coming season. This year's Bahrain Victorious rider has had a steady season and even had a few opportunities to shine.
"I'll start in Valencia then I'll do the opening in Belgium, Paris-Nice, Sanremo and then the northern classics. I think it will be an intense start to the season and I hope I can repeat the good things I did last year,” said Wright.
He further added, "I hope to play a bigger role next year. I'm excited about the idea of being able to play my cards more. We will have a strong team, and with Matej and other strong riders, I think we can do a lot.”
The silver he earned in the thirteenth stage of the Tour de France is his biggest achievement this year. Additionally, he won silver in the ITT(JR) event at the Commonwealth Games. During Vulta a Espana, he took home two bronzes and one silver. "My target for next year will be similar to this year. The programme is basically the same. I hope to have the same consistency and ideally I hope to add a win. But honestly, if I win a big classic, I might as well give up being as consistent," Wright concluded.
