Stephen Williams has signed a contract with Israel-Premier Tech. After the collapse of B&B-Hotels-KTM, the young Briton was in trouble, but thankfully he has found a new place to call home.
"I am really grateful for this opportunity and look forward to riding for this team next year,” said Williams. His victory in the first stage of the Tour de Suisse helped him gain credibility. “After my victory in Switzerland, I feel that my career has received a boost. I hope I can continue to perform like this,” Williams said.
The general manager, Kjell Carlstrom, was quick to make the decision to onboard the young rider. “Stevie Williams was already a rider on our radar earlier this year, so when he became available, we didn’t hesitate to bring Stevie to IPT to complete the 2023 roster. Stevie is a punchy climber and will fit in perfectly as a rider who is capable of going for wins and also helping our most experienced team leaders,” concluded Carlstrom.
