Ethan Hayter abandons the Critérium du Dauphiné after multiple early crashes

Sad news for the INEOS Grenadiers early on the opening stage of the 75th Critérium du Dauphiné as their sprint hope Ethan Hayter has abandoned.

Going down on multiple occasions in the early stages of the first day of racing at the traditional Tour de France warm-up, Hayter initially dusted himself down, brushed himself off, and got onto the bike. With INEOS chasing down the breakaway for Hayter, his second crash signalled the end of his race.
