Fortunately for the Spanish team, months of negotiations with its star rider finally came to fruition this May. Taking advantage of the second rest day of the Giro d'Italia, Movistar officially announced the renewal agreement with
Enric Mas for four more seasons, until 2029.
The Spaniard has always been a life insurance for Eusebio Unzué's team, both in terms of results and UCI points. Although he hasn't managed to win for a few years now, with
Movistar Team he has already accumulated 3 podiums in the Vuelta a España. He will continue to be crucial for the team over the upcoming four seasons, whilst this year he aims for the Tour de France and Vuelta a España oncee again.
