Esteban Chaves conquers Colombian road race national title, Martínez and Quintana complete podium

Esteban Chaves takes over from Sergio Higuita as the new Colombian champion after winning the national championships ahead of Daniel Martínez and Nairo Quintana. The EF Education-EasyPost rider attacked 8 kilometers from the finish line to take a well-deserved victory.
Behind, Daniel Martinez and Nairo Quintana tried, but it was too late when they reacted to the winner's attack. Two-time champion Sergio Higuita and time trial champion Miguel Ángel López were not in the decisive phase of the race in Bucaramanga.

The wins are good, but these second and third places are really interesting. Strade Bianchi and today's queen stage and a sprint against van der Poel?
