Dries Van Gestel's last season performance "gives confidence for the big races" in 2023

Dries Van Gestel reached new heights in his career last season, he is characterised by a sense of boundless confidence as he sets out to begin his new season.

"The 2022 season has given me a bit more confidence, especially after a podium in Gent-Wevelgem,” Van Gestel told CyclismActu. He continues, “It gives me confidence for the big races, I'm happy. After that, to win a big Classic, all the stars have to be aligned.”

The Sports Director, Benoit Genauzeau, holds the belief that the combination of the Belgian Peter Sagan and Anthony Turgis will be a formidable force. "This will be a strong axis of our season. They will be able to rely on a strong team for the Flandriennes, with experienced riders like Edvald, Maciej and Daniel to support them.”

The trio of riders will not only aim for victories but also help the team solidify its position in the WorldTour through amassing the necessary UCI points.“After that, we have a strong group, but the competition is tough. After that, our only ambition is to have three good seasons. We have always thought that the WorldTour was the consequence of our successful seasons, and we always take it that way,” concluded Genauzeau.
