Denmark have taken the stage win on the stage 3 team time-trial at the 2023 Tour de l'Avenir although the time gaps perhaps weren't as potentially race-defining as had been expected.
Something rarely seen in modern cycling, stage 3 of the Tour de l'Avenir was a team time-trial. Setting one of the best early times was the Belgians, despite a dramatic crash on the very last turn of the course.
Nevertheless, even with the late drama, Belgium's lead was looking positive as more and more teams finished in a slower time. France then finally set a quicker time by 18 seconds before Denmark went 13 seconds quicker than that to move into the lead.
