Team SD Worx has gotten another win today, as the first day of the Itzulia Women was conquered by Demi Vollering who stormed to the win in the final sprint after an attacked start.
With 17 kilometers to go Kristen Faulkner made a move in the GC group, with Demi Vollering and Pauliena Rooijakkers making a move shortly afterwards, making for the three-rider group that went on to fight for the stage win and get an early advantage in the overall classification.
In the end Vollering took the win in the sprint, beating Rooijakkers and putting in two seconds over Kristen Faulkner.
