INEOS Grenadiers are having several of their main riders leaving, with announcements over the last few weeks, but they are set to take in some reinforcement as Arkéa Samsic's Connor Swift seems to be a done deal with the team.
Swift has risen up from the British continental scene but found his first top-level contract at Arkéa Samsic where he became a main domestique for Nairo Quintana - already with three Tour de France presences - and put himself out there as a quality classic rider, having taken wins at the Tro Bro-Léon and Tour Poitou - Charentes in 2021. Swift has been an important part of the French team which is set to rise into World Tour level in the coming year.
Swift however seems to be guarranteed to climb into the first division of road cycling, as both his current team and his likely future team will feature in it. Having a newly-found focus on young British talents, INEOS Grenadiers are seeking to guarrantee another of the country's best.
Swift will be joining his cousin Ben Swift at the team, and is another British signing alongsid the likes of Leo Hayter and Joshua Tarling who will also be representing the team from 2023 onwards.
