Chris Froome turned up to the Tour de France Prudential Singapore Criterium on Sunday aboard a striking new bike, with a fresh lick of paint from Paul Smith.
The four-time Tour de France champion was recently presented with a custom version of the Factor O2 VAM, but he rode the Singapore Criterium on a specially-designed Ostro VAM, which is the aero offering from the British brand.
The bike features a paint job from the famous fashion designer Paul Smith, who is also a cycling fanatic. It will be formally unveiled at the flagship Paul Smith store in central London on November 8, with finer details of the collaboration closely guarded until then.
Paul Smith has a dedicated cycling clothing line, and has previously collaborated with the likes of Rapha, while Paul Smith himself has strong connections with a number of British pros, and has a signed yellow jersey from Froome's 2013 Tour de France win.
