Team DSM rider elected to move on from his past employers to the Soudal-Quick-Step set up was his belief that he would be able to develop at a much greater pace, something he is already feeling the benefits of.
"I think the training camps in Calpe went well, first of all getting to know the riders and the staff. Also, on the bike, I felt great with the guys. My progress has been good, as we had hoped. So far I'm really happy with the last few weeks. Changing your environment is always difficult because you have to rebuild from scratch. But I'm quite outgoing, so I fitted in quickly."
