Bryan Coquard talks about his goals: "Win in the World Tour or/and win in the Tour de France"

Bryan Coquard was a new sign for Cofidis last season, leaving the B&B Hotels-KTM team in 2022. The veteran French sprinter had a successful move with three victories, 2nd stage of Etoile de Bessèges, 2nd stage in Tour de Provence and won the Tour de Vendeé semi-classic returning to victories in 2022.

The Frenchman also got close to a victory in Vuelta a España and was mostly consistent throw out the season being very regularly fighting for the sprints."The objective in 2022 was to get back to winning, which was done very quickly. It was a relief for me, but also for the team who had confidence in me", he told French portal Cyclism'Actu.

Coquard is 30 years old and has been racing for a good amount of time already, being one of the household names in the French races calendar. Despite this the fast French still has some goals to achieve.

"Now I've been a professional rider for 10 years and it's becoming a goal in my career to win in the World Tour or/and to win the Tour de France. After that, I'm not fixated on it either. Of course, it is a dream to win the Tour de France, as much for the team as for me, especially as I think I have a good chance with my current level. I will have a great program with several World Tour races", stated Coquard about his goals.

Besides this, Coquard rode for B&B Hotels-KTM for 4 years and the recent unexpected demise of his former team doesn't leave him indifferent. "It hurts my heart for this team because I know how it was made", commented Coquard about it.
