Davide Ballerini is a well established name in the Soudal-Quick-Step team, going for his 4th season with the team. Ballerini's main presence in his agenda will be the Giro d'Italia 2023 where the Italian will play the role of domestique to Remco Evenepoel who will fight for the general classification victory.
However Ballerini will also have his chances, despite no definite program has been reveled the Italian dreams with Paris-Roubaix, "It's my dream and it always will be. However, Roubaix is a very strange race and the planets have to align for it to go well. But if you don't believe in things, they never come true. I'll keep trying", said the Italian in words for La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The past is behind me now, I have drawn a line. Now I'm trying to prepare myself as best I can for the year that is coming. For sure, the Classics remain my main personal goal", he stated about his personal objectives.
Last season, Ballerini won a stage in the Tour of Wallonie, Coppa Bernocchi and finished 4th in the 5th stage of the Giro d'Italia, which ended in Messina.And in this season we can expect him to be in good shape at the Classics.
