The Soudal Quick-Step team traditionally holds a meeting with all its cyclists on the Monday after the end of the season. And even, apparently, in order to create a climate of normality in the face of the doubts and uncertainties surrounding the merger with Jumbo-Visma, the meeting will take place on October 9.
The information was passed on by the Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, adding that all the cyclists who have a contract with Soudal Quick-Step in 2024 will have to go to Turnhout, to Soudal's headquarters, two days after Il Lombardia. Among them, leader Remco Evenepoel.
The newspaper also reports that Mikel Landa will be present at the meeting, as he has been hired by Bahrain Victorious to be one of Remco Evenepoel's main assistants for the 2024 Tour de France. According to the newspaper, the meeting will include trying on clothes, measuring bikes and discussing the competition schedule for the next sporting year.
