Beach race in Egmond offers unique opportunity to do a reconnaissance ride with Tom Dumoulin prior to the race!

This weekend, one of the biggest beach races of the year is on the calendar in Egmond: Egmond-Pier-Egmond. Giant is organizing a reconnaissance with none other than Tom Dumoulin, who is a guest rider for the off-road team of the bicycle brand, prior to the beach race.

The former Giro winner has left competitive sport behind him, but clearly still enjoys a sporting challenge, because in addition to Egmond-Pier-Egmond, Dumoulin will also participate in the Egmond half marathon the next day.

With a recent experience as runner and undeniable cycling qualities, the man who has trained with Olympic running legend Sifan Hassan is likely to place high in the combined classification of the two events. Of course if he approaches the competition seriously.

Anyone who also participates in the beach race, or simply likes to cycle on the beach, can already ride the course with Dumoulin himself the day before the race. Giant organizes a course reconnaissance with their ambassador on Friday January 10, at 14:00 in Egmond aan Zee.
