The road season has officially started! The Australian
national championships every year mark the start of the action at the highest level and today we've seen quite a big battle.
Luke Plapp and
Brodie Chapman have won the individual time-trial in Perth.
The men's race was a fight between the
Team Jayco AlUla riders and
Jay Vine. There were two riders above the rest, but the Jayco man managed to have the upper hand. Plapp beat Vine by a mere 8 seconds but it was enough to bring in the title.
Kelland O'Brien secured the bronze medal, 54 seconds behind his teammate.
In the women's race it was UAE Team ADQ's Brodie Chapman taking the victory, 32 seconds faster than Amber Tate and one minute exactly over bronze medal Anya Louw.
