21-year-old Belgian Axandre van Petegem has departed Jumbo-Visma's Developmental Team it has been announced through their social media pages.
"During the two years I was with the team, I learned a great deal about training, nutrition, and race tactics," says van Petegem in a parting message to Jumbo-Visma. "Saying goodbye to the team brings mixed feelings because I was sidelined due to injury for a significant period."
The promising talent will link up with Lidl-Trek for 2024, joining their newly formed developmental team that includes the likes of Matteo Milan (Jonathan Milan's brother), Cameron Rogers (Michael Rogers' nephew) and Martin Pedersen, (Mads Pedersen's brother).
