Aurélien Paret-Peintre achieved all the goals he had for this year's
Giro d'Italia. The AG2R Citoën Team rider managed to stay in the general classification (15th) and took a stage victory to Lago Laceno (stage 4) on top of that. In the time trial up Monte Lussari, the 27-year old delivered a solid performance with a 15th time of the day.
The Frenchman enjoyed this particular ITT, as he explained to Eurosport's microphone. "It was brutal, but whether it's flat or like today's, it's still individual time trial. We are always alone with ourselves and we have to fight. It was a somewhat atypical exercise, but it was fun. I liked it."
