It was Primoz Roglic, who avenged his time-trial heartbreak from the 2020 Tour de France and overturned the 26 second deficit he started the day with to not only claim a stunning stage win, but snatch the Maglia Rosa from Geraint Thomas. Roglic will win the 2023 Giro d'Italia by 14 seconds ahead of the Welshman.
