Arnaud Démare takes his first victory in Arkéa-Samsic jersey at Tour de Vendée: "It's a lot of emotions because I've really struggled lately"

Arnaud Démare signs his first victory under his new colors in the 2023 Tour de Vendée. This is the 8th victory for the Arkéa-Samsic team this season.

"It's a lot of emotions because I've really struggled lately, it's a superb victory won collectively, all my teammates really hurt me when they took the handle to lock out the race and in the end everything went very well. It’s a superb day, it’s Laurent Pichon’s last race, for my part I’m writing down my first success with Arkéa-Samsic," Démare sasy happily.

"All my teammates did a great work, they really performed, this victory is for them too. We were well positioned throughout the race with Lukasz, Laurent, Dan, Anthony and at the end with Donavan and Clément it was really a collective victory," he concludes.
