AG Insurance-NXTG has announced its lineup for the upcoming Tour de France Femmes. The tour is scheduled to start from July 24 and end on July 31.
The team has chosen a mix of climbers and sprinters to balance different stages. Julia Borgström will be leading the team. Wollaston, who has already won the GP Morbihan, will be responsible for the breakaway in the early stages.
Anya Louw, Ilsej Pluimers, Gaia Masetti, and Lone Meertens will be responsible for providing the support. Maud Rijnbeek has been selected as a reserve.
The team is new and lacks experience in big races so this tour will be a crucial milestone in the development and growth of team .“Most of our riders have never participated in a stage race over eight days at this level of difficulty and competition, so this will be an important milestone in their development. However, part of sportsmanship is having ambitions and daring to pursue them,” said Sports Director Jolien D’Hoore.
