Max Walscheid, who will be racing the ITT the following days, will be a key rider. He will be joined by Lotto Soudal's Roger Kluge and Michael Schwarzmann, DSM's John Degenkolb and Nico Denze, and the rouleur duo of Nils Politt and Alexander Krieger.
In the women's race the team will only have three options, with Lianne Lippert, Lisa Brennauer and Lisa Klein set to carry the home colours through the road race. Brennauer and Klein will also be riding the time-trial, in hopes of obtaining a medal.
