- Gotta be a bit more diplomatic, Skjelly...
- It's like Mattia Agostinacchio, who is a great talent but EF are getting ahead of themselves with him. As a junior CX World Champion and reigning U23 CX World Champion, and with some top junior results on the road, he certainly has talent.
EF entered him into De Brabantse Pijl and Eschborn-Frankfurt - and he abandoned both. That's not getting experience, because he's not racing.
U23 races would've been far better for him. Of course, if he'd entered the races in which Lorenzo Finn was present, he'd have been just as shocked. But he'd at least have finished the races.
EF do that quite often - with Markel Beloki, that's the case. Having just turned 20, while most of his peers were in the Tour de l'Avenir, Beloki raced the 2025 Vuelta. Of course, he was anything if not ready, and was highly visible. The same goes for the 2026 Giro. But Agostinacchio is 2 years younger and is not ready for the Worldtour yet
- If he was actually “racing” I’d agree. But seems like he is barely surviving in the grupetto, which is shocking for a rider of his calibre.
- What's the deal with no bonus seconds in this entire tour? Heard the international feed commentator explaining this the other night - strange decision for the UCI
- Chris who? The Vuelta winning doper !
- UAE is racing Almeida for him to get back in form. Isn’t racing the best way to get there? Training can only take you so far. Nothing can imitate actual race conditions. He should stay healthy so he can contribute to UAE squad.
- Yup hard to understand what Almeida is doing. What’s the point of him racing when he is SO far from his typical form?
- it is a funny, meme worthy face, but Rasmussen shouldn’t be so critical. he doesn’t know what the rider was feeling.
- Demi is a great rider. She seems like a fine human being. She crushed the competition.
She also likes to make excuses.
- Demi is an insanely talented rider. She also has an excuse for every loss.
