"Form a duo together in Ghent? We hope so" - Dens brothers hope to form a fearsome track duo one day

One gives his calling card to the U23 in Ghent, the other flashes every evening on the 500 meter time trial in 't Kuipke. The brotherly couple Stan (18) and Tuur Dens (23) are enjoying their week in Ghent, they tell Sporza.

"The Ring in Brussels is a difficult point to get to from here," laughs Tuur, "but we went to school here and we studied here. This also gives you a bond with the track."

"I went with our mother to Tuur's championships abroad," Stan adds. "That was cool to see and that's where I found my love for the track. A track has now been built in Zolder, but that is a bit too late for us. Although it is good news for the youth."

And the brothers push each other forward. "Stan sometimes does things that I couldn't do at that age. He may not be as fast as I was, but his endurance is already greater than me at that age. He is not the same type as me, but his explosiveness is his greatest weapon."

The brothers express their wish in this way. "Form a duo together in Ghent? We hope so. It would be nice. Yes, it is already a dream. I don't remember it ever happening here."
