- All Hail The King Of Cross.... Incredible!
- What a legend. Congratulations to Mathieu van der Poel.
- He replaced who? Luka or Steven?
- Yeah and bummer how she ignored the commissaire and kept racing after they tried to pull her in the pits.
- Considering the attention CUPD is paying to this and the historic moment it could become, am surprised and disappointed they don’t seem to have planned live updates.
- Very humble :-)
Don’t agree with the ageist argument though, I think you’ll find there are different firms of engagement, some very much more visible than others but each important for enhancing effect.
There’s a book I’m planning to read, something like The Dictatorship of Algorithms that explains a lot of why things have gone the way they have, polarising even people who are often quite aligned.
I think the smarter and more experienced people without an agenda have since long understood it’s best not to get stuck in engagement but to reflect whether they’re living according to the values they present. Those so very engaged often don’t seem to have reflected on whether they’re consistent elsewhere with a position they’re defending.
- Sometimes me neither, honestly.
My blabber is not that important
- Doubt it,
Very few are asking for this change and viewership of GTs certainly doesn’t seem to be suffering.
Protests don’t depend on when races are organised but on “outside” circumstances, a bit strange to mix everything together.
Besides, the protests shiwed an ABILITY in change ;-)
But seriously, changing for the sake of changing something that more or less worked? Shall we look at the mess LIV created, and for what?
People don’t continue watching Football because the competition format or match playing time changes but because they want to watch football, same in cycling.
And finally (for now), I doubt very much viewers give a hoot if weather conditions disrupt a couple of stages, just like in football, it’s a hiccup that doesn’t matter post competition.
- Spot on Brian now the pressure to perform starts.Ineos pay well however they are for results. Picnic post NL was a team bit like Wanty where there was no pressure to get results other than do your best. This will be the first time where he has a true leadership role and other team mates will be expecting him to perform. My prediction top 10 max TDF.
- This inability to change is what will destroy cycling. LIKE ,Not stopping protests last year WIll lead to more this year. More interruptions, loss of viewership and interest
