- great story will be looking at the peloton looking for him nex year.
- Vincenzo Nibali regarded Horner as not only one of the best climbers in the peloton, but as a worthy competitor who produced a superior performance in that Vuelta.
- When you his face when he's winning his Tour de L'Avenir is like he's babyface high school adolescence apart with matured face Thymen Arensman and Gino Mader.
- Wishing the best for Küng and Tudor Cycling!
- He won almost every race in the United States except the nationals at least once. He had great numbers, he was a late bloomer in Europe and had a weakened field in the 2013 Vuelta. If the shark of Messina had not had a very hard Giro in 2013, Nibali would have probably won the Vuelta that year. Chris was an excellent climber and he never ran away with the race, it was close until the end.
- The transfer from Alpecin to Quick-Step isn't happening. Can he fill that void? Quick- Step now has a roster spot.
- I hope he isn't a flash in the pan - I hope he can sustain success. Being a Frenchman in the TdF is a pressure cooker that melts many great riders.
I also hope he keeps his humility as success comes his way.
- agreed. when people say they tire of seeing him win, my question is, do we get tired of Mozart, the Beatles, Monet, and other grand masters of their craft? I'll never tire of seeing a master at work, and love watching Tadej. he is a joy.
- I think you said it best - Pogacar is a freak, in the best way. Asking Jonas to compete in one day race is like asking MVDP to compete in GTs and stage races. You can ask, but it won't happen. They're not built for it.
Tadej is a generational talent that can do it all.
The actual closest facsimile of Tadej is Remco. He has won GTs, monuments, Worlds, Olympics and one week stage races. The only issue for Remco is that he only wins these when Tadej is not racing!
- Horner never had the talent on his own to win a GT so how do you explain this sudden win? You can't say it was a weak field as your reason !
