- In 2024 they claim it was a much harder route with better riders in the race. Reality is something that can be proven. In 2024, the route was by all measures, harder. Bigger and more climbs. More tricky decending and not the best roads. Now, can we say the riders were worse? Not yet. Until the season ends and we see how well they stack up with the riders in 2024 as dar as placements...it isn't something you can see
- Hardly. Doing some good times in training with fresh legs and no pressure isn't doing it in the third week of a tour with fatigue and stress and screaming fans and all the rest of it. I wish him all the best luck this year but he's never done a 3 week race before, I expect a capitulation at some point. Articles like this only set him up for some sort of "failure" based on unrealistic expectations.
