Toon Aerts could be returning to cyclocross competition with new team soon

Despite his ongoing case following a positive for the substance Letrozole, Toon Aerts has not been suspended from pro cycling. Whilst fighting on in an attempt to prove his innocence, the Belgian has not stopped training, and has been heavily hinted to join a top CX team.

Recently Bart Wellens, part of the Tormans Cyclocross Team, has shared a video on Instagram showing a training session for several of the team's riders including Swiss champion Kevin Kuhn and Corné van Kessel.

Whilst van Kessel and Quinten Hermans are both set to leave on the January 1st, the Belgian team is eyeing a new signing. Toon Aerts has been identified in the post, and has been training with the team and it's equipment.

It is a very large indicator that Aerts could soon become a rider for the Belgian team, seeing as his contract with Baloise - Trek Lions was recently ended due to the lack of answers from the ongoing case.
