Ryan Kamp battles through another crash after Eli Iserbyt controversy

Ryan Kamp's cyclocross season has been anything but smooth, and the Superprestige Ruddervoorde added another challenge. After a heavy crash at the start of the men's race, Kamp was forced to abandon early and was taken to the hospital for examination. Fortunately, the Fenix rider later confirmed via Instagram that he hadn’t sustained any fractures or serious injuries.

"I just got out of the hospital, and luckily the results were good. No major injuries or fractures," Kamp shared on Sunday evening on Instagram. He also expressed regret for the riders who were caught up in the crash with him. "I don’t know who fell with me, but I hope you're all okay!" Kamp thanked everyone who sent him supportive messages and added, "Now it’s time to let the body recover. Hopefully, I’ll be back on the bike soon."

Kamp’s season has gotten off to a tough start. Just last week, a heated incident with Eli Iserbyt during the first race of the season escalated into controversy. After Kamp’s contact with Iserbyt, the latter kicked Kamp’s wheel, resulting in Iserbyt's suspension. The drama overshadowed the race, leaving Kamp with a difficult recovery.

In the Exact Cross Essen, Kamp faced mechanical issues and could only manage a 16th-place finish. Despite the rocky start, Kamp is hopeful for a swift return to racing form, eager to put these setbacks behind him as the season continues.
