Mathieu van der Poel to race Val di Sole World Cup, snow race to feature Fem van Empel and Puck Pieterse

The KNWU has announced the riders for the Val Di Sole World Cup. Mathieu van der Poel will lead the men, while Fem van Empel will be attempting to add to her already impressive list of victories.
In Val di Sole, Mathieu van der Poel will compete in his third World Cup race after missing the Dublin World Cup. It is worth noting that he has won both the World cup races he participated in. His fight with Wout van Aert, who just won in Dublin, will be worth watching. Lars van der Haar will skip the race this weekend to concentrate on his training camp. The squad is completed by Pim Ronhaar, Corné van Kessel, and Stan Godrie.

Fem van Empel and Puck Pieterse are dominating the field and ranking likewise, Van Empel already has seven World cup victories to her name, with the latest being in Dublin. - I assume Plapp will be about as popular as a fart in a gas mask this season on the team bus. What an absolute clown shoe. Attacking his own team-mate with a lap and a half to go, bringing back his rivals with you, then fluffing it yourself to let the other guy win. You’d assume that if they had race radios, the DS would be telling Plapp to stop p*sing on Durbo’s chips, but at the same time you’d also expect a World Tour rider to understand this kind of basic racecraft. Jonas has a Vuelta, 2 Tours and no Giro, you said it yourself so - Go figure. Has he ruled out the Tour? Am convinced if Tadej decides to do the Giro, Jonas won’t cancel, it’s nothing to do with dodging, it’s about deciding for himself and not living for others. Jonas has offered plenty of competition to Tadej, it’s not his only purpose or obligation.
